About Dath Collins, DDS
Dr. Dath Collins was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After graduating from Stratford High School, he attended Texas A & M University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science. He continued his education at the University Of Texas School Of Dentistry located in the Houston Medical Center. Dr. Collins received his Doctor of Dental Surgery upon graduation from UTSD. Before graduating dental school, Dr. Collins was presented with several distinguished awards in the fields of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. His awards included Outstanding Student in Esthetics, Prosthodontics (replacing teeth), Dental Anatomy and Occlusion (understanding concepts for placing fillings and creating crowns), the Dr. Rout Award (expertise in making dental restorations), the Gold Foil Award (precise restorations) and the Delta Dental Community Service Award (treating underserved patients). Dr. Collins is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2013, Dr. Collins was awarded the Texas New Dentist of the Year by the AGD. This honor is given once a year to a new dentist practicing in Texas. In 2015, Dr. Collins was honored by the TDA with the New Dentist Leadership Award and 2016 The ADA awarded Dr. Collins with the coveted Golden Apple Award for Leadership. “I believe it is important to give back to my profession and I take pride in the confidence and trust that my patients have in me,” he says. In his personal time, Dr. Collins enjoys outdoor activities, fishing, traveling, wood working, jewelry making, home projects, and watching movies. Dr. Collins and his wife Angela live in west Houston with their three boys, Harrison, Cash and Lane.
