About Charles D. Stetler, DDS
I cannot imagine a more fulfilling profession than dentistry. Growing up, our neighbor was also the family dentist. He allowed me to job shadow him when I was in high school, and I immediately knew this was right for me: seeing the relationships he had with his patients, and the way he was able to help each person, was remarkable. I’ve been practicing since 1989. I started my practice in Wylie and recently moved to the current location in Dallas. Each morning I look forward to coming to the office, knowing my day will be filled with conversations that expand my world as patients share stories and experiences. These exchanges strengthen our bond, set my patients at ease, and give me insight into how I can help each person achieve optimal oral health and the smile he or she desires. The team at our practice is the bedrock of our success. They have worked together for years, and supported and encouraged each other as they provided compassionate, advanced care. My team really knows our patient family and understands the best ways to make each person feel comfortable and relaxed. They strive to be advocates in helping every patient make the best dental decisions. Ours is a fun, welcoming office, where everyone is respected as an individual, the dentistry is timely but not rushed, and we respect our patients’ unique situations. I love learning new ideas and ways to help my patients with their dental needs. Continuing education is a large part of my life: I take courses on the latest technological innovations, new approaches to treatment, and customer service. My postgraduate studies have focused on cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, implant restorations, and prosthodontics. In 2007, I completed the requirements for the fellowship award for the Academy of General Dentistry. This is award is achieved by fewer than 10% of general dentists; it requires the doctor to complete a minimum of 500 hours of continuing education and pass a rigorous, eight-hour examination. I am now working toward my Master in General Dentistry through the AGD. I was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and moved to Texas in 1981 to attend Baylor. I loved it here and never left! My wife Lori and I met at Baylor; she’s a board-certified dermatologist in private practice in Dallas.
