About Camille Chavez
Dr. Chavez was born and raised in New York. She was accepted with a full academic scholarship to the prestigious Cornell University, an Ivy League school renowned for it’s high academic standards. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She went on to obtain her Medical Degree from the Columbia College of Physician’s and Surgeons in New York (a school that has consistently been named one of the top ten medical schools in the country). It was there that she decided to pursue surgical career specializing in Plastic Surgery. After medical school, she did a full General Surgery residency at the University of Illinois. After completion, she did her Plastic Surgery training at the Loyola University in Chicago. She was the first woman they had accepted in 10 years. During her fellowship she became proficient in microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, trauma surgery, and of course, cosmetic surgery. Because she loves to be challenged, she decided to accept a position as an attending surgeon at the Cook County Burn Center in Chicago. It is one of the largest burn centers in the country. There she was responsible for the management and care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit. She also became an Instructor in Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital and was responsible for the teaching and training of residents in surgery. She decided to settle in Miami in 1995 and open her own cosmetic surgery practice. She is a female plastic surgeon in Miami that specializes in breast and body contouring. She has received constant praise from her patients, for her artistic eye, integrity, honesty and devotion to them. “As a female surgeon I am able to relate to and understand my patients better. I take pride in helping them obtain the results that they have always desired. I’m happy when my patient’s are happy.
