About Basim Shakir, DDS
Dr. Shakir's inspiration for becoming a dentist was due to growing up with family and friends with dental issues who were unable to access dental care in his small town. This experience impacted Dr. Shakir greatly in his decision to pursue dentistry. Today, Dr. Shakir is delighted by the opportunity to relieve patients' dental pain, cosmetic issues, and improve their dental health using state-of-the-art technology. His expertise in oral medicin and surgery, dental implants, and cosmetic dentristry allows him to solve complex dental disease. Dr. Shakir served as Associate Clinical Professor at Northwestern Dental School, Chicago, IL for over 10 years prior to founding Perfect Dental Smile.
