About Arvind Gulati, DDS
Dr. Gulati was born in Mumbai, India. At the age of four, he moved to Toronto, Canada, where he grew up. After high school, he was offered scholarships to various universities. Dr. Gulati chose to attend the University of Toronto, where he completed his undergraduate studies and obtained a four-year specialty degree in cell and molecular biology. Subsequently, he attended the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry. His academic career was distinguished by numerous scholarships, awards, and honors culminating with his graduation from dental school in 1996. Dr. Gulati then completed a one-year general practice residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, managing more medically compromised dental patients. In 2001, he graduated from a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Henry Ford Hospital. During these four years, Dr. Gulati received extensive training in anesthesia, internal medicine, general surgery, trauma surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. His background allows him to manage not only routine and complicated extractions but also facial trauma, reconstructive surgery, implants, infections, pathology, and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Gulati received his board certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003 and re-certified in 2012 to maintain his diplomate status. In March 2003, Dr. Gulati started his solo practice in Novi, where he has established himself as not only a practitioner but also a member of the community. He continues to be a part of the community by supporting various charities, local schools, and more. Dr. Gulati is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Michigan State of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Western Branch of the Detroit District Dental Society. He has also served as the past president of the Western Branch of the Detroit District Dental Society. Dr. Gulati is happily married to his wife, Jennifer, a Detroit native. When he is not spending time with his two young sons, his personal interests include hockey, fishing, golf, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels.
