About Anil Agarwal, DDS
Dr. Agarwal is a specialist in the aesthetic restoration and replacement of teeth. He is trained to handle advanced and complex dental reconstruction cases. Dr. Agarwal earned his DDS from King George’s Medical School in 1974, graduating at the top of his class. He then completed his specialist training as well as earned a master’s in oral biology from Northwestern University. He holds fellow and diplomate status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and fellow status in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics, demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning and life-long ethical practices. For over two decades, Dr. Agarwal has taught implant courses at Northwestern University, where he cofounded and served as director of the Implant Education/Educational Center and served as director of the school’s Treatment Planning Center. He has provided over 250 continuing education courses to other dental professionals and has lectured worldwide on dental implants and full-mouth reconstruction for the past 38 years. Dr. Agarwal authored three books, including “Peritoneal Dialysis: Types, Procedures and Risks Factors.” Additionally, he invented and successfully marketed two unique dental products. First, his Dental Soft Relining product is beneficial for patients with cancer as well as others with low tissue tolerance. Second, his Force-Measuring Technique for bones has made its mark in Oral Biology research. Giving back to the community is an important part of Dr. Agarwal’s philosophy. In 2000, he donated a fully equipped dental office to the Family Health Society in Chicago. Over 21,000 people have been treated at this volunteer clinic. The practice also does food drives and distributes winter coats. Dr. Agarwal was even awarded a plaque for his community service by Mayor Daley.
