About Ziyad Hammoudeh
Dr. Hammoudeh grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He stayed in his hometown to attend Drexel University, where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry and graduated with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude. He then attended medical school at Temple University, serving the underprivileged population of North Philadelphia. While in medical school, he did research at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on surgical outcomes of children born with cleft palates. After medical school, Dr. Hammoudeh moved to Detroit to complete a five-year general surgery residency at Wayne State University, where he trained with national leaders in trauma surgery. At Detroit Receiving Hospital, he cared for many critically injured victims of gunshot wounds, burns, and motor vehicle crashes. Following general surgery residency, he became board certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). He then went on to complete a three-year plastic surgery residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During his training, Mayo Clinic was ranked as the number one hospital in the country by US News and World Report, and has consistently been ranked in the top three hospitals for the past decade.Following his plastic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, he moved to Los Angeles to complete a highly competitive aesthetic fellowship in the University of Southern California (USC) program. During his fellowship, Dr. Hammoudeh trained with several of the nation’s leaders in cosmetic plastic surgery in Marina del Rey and Beverly Hills, to become an expert in advanced aesthetics. His high level of training and expertise in rhinoplasty, breast, and body contouring surgery, was highly coveted by Dr. Grant Stevens, who then asked him to join the staff at Marina Plastic Surgery, where he demonstrates his talents today.
