About Zeena Ubogy, MD
Zeena Ubogy, M.D. graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health and Science Center, San Antonio in 1981. She completed her internship at the University of Hawaii. She also did part of a psychiatry residency, which she feels helps her better understand people. She finished her dermatology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1987 and was board certified in dermatology the same year. She is a fellow of the American Board of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Phoenix Dermatologic Society, and the Maricopa County Medical Association. She has several publications in the field of dermatology to her credit. After leaving the military, she came to Phoenix in 1991 and went into practice with Dr. Thaler in 1997. She believes strongly in the use of sunscreen to help prevent skin cancer and premature aging. Her biggest reward as a physician is saving someone's life by detecting melanoma early and in helping people feel better about themselves through cosmetic surgery.
