About Yuan Liu, MD
I was born in China and along with my family moved to Boston when I was nine. We spent a few years in Boston and then moved to Houston, TX. I earned my undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, and then attended the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. I completed my plastic surgery residency at Yale, and spent some time as an assistant professor at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. I then completed a craniofacial fellowship at the University of Michigan. Now I'm here in sunny San Diego! I'm trained in complex reconstructions for cancer or trauma. I enjoy using all my skills to help my patients heal. When I'm not working I'm usually with my wife and two children. My two kids keep me quite busy and usually are a welcome break from work. I also enjoy collecting antiques and traveling.
