About Wanlan Xiao, DDS
I have been practicing dentistry since 2005 and truly love my profession. I have found my passion in family, cosmetic, and sedation dentistry, which allows me to diagnose and treat the root causes of oral health issues and create a smile which epitomizes the beauty in each individual. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton with a minor in Chinese Language. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and have been practicing quality family and cosmetic dentistry in the greater Bay Area. I am proficient in a wide range of state-of-the-art dental procedures and techniques and committed to pursuing continuing education at the highest level. I am also a member of numerous prestigious organizations including the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. One of my passions in life is charity. I was president of my dental school's community outreach project. I have also been a dental provider every year for the Give Kids A Smile program in the Bay Area. I have provided free dental care to over 500 kids from Richmond to Santa Rosa to Livermore. I am also an active member of Alliance For Smiles, a non-profit organization dedicated to repairing broken smiles of children affected by cleft lip and cleft palate in under-served areas of the world. In September 2008, I provided over $50,000 of free dental treatment to children and adults in Harbin, China during my Alliance For Smiles mission. I worked alongside plastic surgeons to give cleft children and adults a brand new smile. In April 2013 and October 2018, I traveled to Bataan, Philippines with the University of the Pacific Dental School to provide care to the under served local population.
