AEDIT Medspa P.C. d/b/a AEDIT Cosmetic Wellness (“AEDIT Medspa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of its Users (“User,” “your,” or “you”). This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you receive or interact with our services.

AEDIT Medspa is a California professional medical corporation committed to protecting the privacy of its Users whose information is collected and stored while utilizing its services. The Services are defined as the elective cosmetic, dermatologic, regenerative, medical weight management, hormonal, wellness, and related in-person procedures and treatments performed by AEDIT Medspa at its clinical location.

The capitalized terms have the same meaning as ascribed in our Terms of Use or Terms of Service, as applicable, unless otherwise noted here.

WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, NOR DO WE INTEND TO DO SO. WE DO NOT GIVE ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES EXCEPT TO SUBPROCESSORS TO ASSIST US IN THE PROVISION OF OUR SERVICES TO YOU. 

TERRITORIAL RESTRICTION

Our Services are offered solely within the United States and may only be received at our physical location in California. The Services are not available to residents of, visitors to, or individuals located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or any jurisdiction outside the United States. If you are located outside the United States, please do not schedule, receive, or attempt to receive the Services. If you are a resident of the United States (“US”), the laws of the State of California shall apply. If you are a resident of any other country, you are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws prior to receiving or attempting to receive the Services. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you register for, inquire about, or receive our Services, we collect personal information (also referred to as personally identifiable information or “PII”) which may include your name, home address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, emergency contact information, and other identifying details. The information collected will be stored on our systems. You may update your personal information by emailing us at privacy@aedit.com.

  • Treatment and Intake Information. We may also collect information that you voluntarily provide in connection with your candidacy for or receipt of the Services, including medical-history information, treatment preferences, allergies, contraindications, prior procedures, consultation responses, and other information necessary for your evaluation and care.

  • Photographs and Clinical Images. With your consent, we may collect photographs or videos for clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation. Clinical images are not used for marketing or public-facing purposes without your separate written authorization.

We may also request separate consent for photographs or videos used for marketing, advertising, social media, or other promotional purposes. Participation is optional and will not affect your treatment. You may revoke consent for future marketing use at any time, subject to any uses already made in reliance on your authorization.

  • Geolocation and Device Information. We may collect limited, non-identifiable technical information such as (i) your approximate geolocation, and (ii) information about the device or browser used when communicating with us or completing online intake forms.

  • Financial Information. We may collect payment and billing information, including credit or debit card information. Payment information may be securely stored and processed on our behalf by Boulevard and other third-party payment processors, including to maintain a card on file and process payments for our Services. We do not directly store full payment card details on our own systems.

HOW DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION?

We collect personal information from you in the following ways:

  • When you register for, schedule, or check in to receive the Services;

  • In email, text message, phone, or other electronic communications between you and AEDIT Medspa;

  • When you complete intake forms, consent forms, treatment questionnaires, or other documentation required to receive the Services;

  • Improve our customer service and patient experience;

OUR COOKIE POLICY

Administrative Safeguards. a. We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who require such access to perform their job duties. b. All staff members with access to personal information are trained on confidentiality obligations and the proper handling of patient information. c. We maintain internal policies governing the retention, storage, and disposal of personal information.

Technical Safeguards. a. When you submit information electronically (such as through online intake forms or email communications), we use encryption or other protective measures appropriate to the nature of the information. b. Our systems employ firewalls, access controls, and monitoring tools intended to reduce unauthorized access. c. We utilize reputable third-party service providers for secure payment processing and do not store your credit-card information on our servers.

Physical Safeguards. a. Paper records and in-clinic files are stored in secure locations with access restricted to authorized personnel. b. Clinical photographs and treatment documentation are maintained in secure systems used in the operation of the practice.

Despite these efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. DATA SECURITY MEASURES.

  • Security Measures. We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. All personal information collected in connection with the Services is stored in secure systems used by AEDIT Medspa for clinical and operational purposes, and access is restricted to personnel who require such access to perform their job functions. We use reasonable protective measures such as firewalls, access controls, encrypted transmission (where appropriate), and commercially accepted security practices to safeguard information submitted to us electronically (including through online intake forms or email communications). Paper records and in-clinic files are maintained in secure physical locations accessible only to authorized staff. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy or security measures implemented in connection with the Services.

  • GOOGLE ADSENSE AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS Our website may use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand general website traffic patterns and improve the functionality and performance of our site. Google Analytics uses first-party Cookies to collect standard internet log information and anonymous usage data. This information may include your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited.

AEDIT Medspa does not use Google Analytics to collect or store any medical, treatment-related, or sensitive personal information. Google Analytics data is used solely to help us understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve user experience.

INTERNATIONAL USERS

AEDIT Medspa provides elective medical and wellness Services only within the United States. We do not market, offer, or make the Services available to individuals who are located outside the United States. Because the Services are not available internationally, the privacy laws of other jurisdictions, including the General Data Protection Regulation in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the Brazilian Lei Geral de Protecao de Dados, and the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, do not apply to our operations.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

AEDIT Medspa does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside third parties your Personal Information as that term is defined under California Civil Code Section 1798.82 h. California residents have the right to request information regarding how we handle Personal Information and the right to request access to or deletion of the Personal Information we maintain about them.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, to maintain accurate clinical and business records, and to satisfy legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. This may include retaining certain information after you stop receiving the Services in order to comply with professional medical standards, state medical record retention laws, or obligations relating to billing, auditing, or legal compliance. We will securely dispose of Personal Information when it is no longer required for these purposes.

COPPA COMPLIANCE (FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13 USERS ONLY)

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, also known as COPPA, applies to operators of online services that knowingly collect Personal Information, as defined under COPPA, from children under the age of 13. AEDIT Medspa. does not provide the Services to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 13.

The Services are intended for adults only and are not directed to children. We do not perform age screening through our general website, but we do require age verification during the scheduling and intake process for the Services.

If you are under 13, please do not attempt to schedule, request, or receive the Services.

CAN-SPAM ACT OF 2003

The CAN-SPAM Act establishes requirements for commercial email messages. It gives recipients the right to request that businesses stop sending marketing emails and sets penalties for violations. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, AEDIT Medspa will do the following:

You acknowledge that we are permitted to remove content only if your DMCA Takedown Notice complies with all requirements of this section. Pursuant to 17 U S C Section 512 f, any knowing misrepresentation in a DMCA Takedown Notice may subject the complaining party to liability for any damages, costs, and attorney fees incurred by AEDIT Medspa in connection with the notification and any allegation of copyright infringement.

ANTI-BRIBERY COMPLIANCE

AEDIT Medspa represents and warrants that it is aware of and will comply with all applicable anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws in the United States, including the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and any regulations issued under those laws. AEDIT Medspa will not take any action or fail to take any action that would cause it, or any person acting on its behalf, to be in violation of any applicable anti-corruption or anti-bribery law.

AEDIT Medspa further represents and warrants that neither it nor any of its employees, officers, or directors is an official or employee of any government or any department, agency, or instrumentality of a government, any political party, any state-owned enterprise, or any public international organization. AEDIT Medspa further represents and warrants that, to its knowledge, neither it nor any person acting on its behalf has offered, promised, provided, or authorized the provision of any payment, gift, benefit, or thing of value to any such official for the purpose of improperly influencing a decision or securing an improper advantage in connection with any matter relating to AEDIT Medspa.

AEDIT Medspa also represents and warrants that it will not in the future offer, promise, provide, or authorize the provision of any payment, gift, benefit, or thing of value in violation of any applicable anti corruption or anti bribery law and that it will take all lawful and necessary steps to ensure that no such payment is offered or made by any person acting on its behalf.
