About Victoria Godinez-Puig, MD
Dr. Victoria Godinez-Puig is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and dermatologic oncologist. Dr. Godinez-Puig grew up in Mexico City and earned her medical degree at U.N.A.M., the oldest university in North America and most prestigious medical school in Mexico, graduating with the highest honors. Dr. Godinez-Puig subsequently moved to Chicago for her internship in Internal Medicine at North Shore University HealthSystem, a teaching hospital of University of Chicago. She then completed a Dermatology residency at Northwestern University, where she served as chief resident during her final year of training. Following residency, Dr. Godinez-Puig completed an ACMS fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of British Columbia, where she received extensive training in the management of complex skin cancers and advanced reconstructive surgery. In addition to Mohs surgery and reconstructive procedures, Dr. Godinez-Puig has a special interest in women's skin health, as well as the diagnosis, medical management and prevention of skin cancers. She also has expertise in cosmetic dermatology, including scar revisions, fillers, and botulinum toxin injections. Dr. Godinez-Puig has authored multiple publications, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Women's Dermatologic Society.
