About Thomas J. Walker
Thomas J. Walker, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a double board-certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, who underwent extensive fellowship-training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery after his 5-year residency in Head and Neck Surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) as well as by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOto). Dr. Walker specializes in septoplasty, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), revision rhinoplasty, minimally invasive endosopic sinus surgery including balloon sinuplasty, and advanced endoscopic sinus surgery. Having acquired a unique set of skills under his fellowship mentor Dr. Dean Toriumi, a world-renowned rhinoplasty surgeon, Dr. Walker has the complete armamentarium to perform all ranges of rhinoplasty: primary rhinoplasty (first-time rhinoplasty), ethnic and Asian rhinoplasty, secondary rhinoplasty (revision rhinoplasty), including complicated cases such as saddle nose deformities, cocaine noses, cleft lip nasal deformities, noses damaged by implants or fillers, and septal perforations. Dr. Walker uses the least invasive technique possible to maximize the long-term aesthetic and functional outcome. If cartilage from inside the nose (septal cartilage) is either insufficient or no longer present, Dr. Walker is among the few surgeons in the country with the ability to harvest and use the patient’s own rib (costal) or ear (auricular) cartilage to reconstruct the nose.
