About Thomas J. Piccolo, DDS
Dr. Piccolo attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where he earned both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982, he began working and has been practicing dentistry in Scottsdale since 1985. Dr. Piccolo believes in continuing education and is honored to be a member of many dental groups. He belongs to the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Equilibration Society (AES), Arizona Dental Association(AZDA), American Academy of Cranial Facial Pain (AACFP), American Headache Society (AHS) and is a participating member of local study clubs. Dr. Piccolo also received fellowship status for the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He currently is a peer review and mediator for the Arizona Dental Association. Dr. Piccolo has also received training at the L.D. Pankey Institute. This prestigious postgraduate program strives to “treat patients at the highest level of current knowledge and care” to provide patients with optimal oral health – a philosophy Dr. Piccolo has personally adopted. The Institute provides hand-on training, where he has mastered his skills in TMJ therapy and periodontal prosthetics.
