About Theda C. Kontis, MD
Dr. Theda C. Kontis is an expert in facial cosmetic surgery, performing rhinoplasty, eyelid rejuvenation, brow lifts, and facelifts as well as “non-surgical facelifts” with injectables. Since 1994, patients have been seeing Dr. Kontis for all of their cosmetic facial needs. She is an international expert in dermal fillers and trains other physicians in safe and effective injection techniques. Her textbook, Cosmetic Injection Techniques, is a top seller. Dr. Kontis is board certified in both Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. After receiving her M.D. from WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY, Dr. Kontis completed her residency and fellowship at JOHNS HOPKINS MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and teaches surgical techniques to students, residents, and fellows. In 2011, she was named to the Board of Directors at GBMC HOSPITAL as one of two physician Board members.
