About Susan P. Detwiler, MD
Dr. Detwiler, board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, joined Dermatologist Medical Group of North County in 2003. Dr. Detwiler worked in the San Diego area for seven years before joining DMG. Dr. Detwiler is an alumna of The Bishop's School in La Jolla, where she was co-salutatorian. She graduated from Princeton University and returned to California for medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles. After completing her residency in dermatology in North Carolina, she again returned to California for a fellowship in dermatopathology at Stanford University. Dr. Detwiler's areas of interest include dermatopathology, acne, skin cancers and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Detwiler is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Diego.
