About Sumeet Thareja, MD
Dr. Sumeet Thareja is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has a particular interest in cosmetics and skin cancer surgery. He is passionate about increasing skin cancer awareness and dedicated to educating his community about general skin health. His interest in dermatology stems from a life-long mission to understand the deep connection between skin disease and the psychological burden it creates. He strives to alleviate this burden by helping his patients look and feel their best. After finishing his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, Dr. Thareja obtained his medical degree at the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine in Tampa. He stayed at USF to complete his residency training in dermatology and then went on to become Medical Director of Indigo Dermatology in Florida as well as caring for military veterans at James A. Haley VA Department of Dermatology in Tampa. Dr. Thareja specializes in skin cancer, mole checks. psoriasis, eczema, acne, vitiligo, cosmetics, lasers and PRP. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. In his free time, Dr. Thareja likes to spend time with his family, playing tennis and golf and traveling.
