About Steven Schiffenhaus, DMD
My family includes my wife Sara, my son James, our Great Danes Josey and Wade, and our cat Calvin. We have been married for 7 years and together since we met while attending Arizona State University 10 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, hiking, and competitive shooting. I have lived in the Valley for 16 years. I am originally from New Jersey and moved to Tempe in 2001 to attend ASU. I have Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology from ASU where I conducted undergraduate and graduate research on biomarkers for a cancer vaccine. While working on my master’s I taught biology to student’s taking the medical admissions test, biology and chemistry at St. Mary’s High School, and general biology at Mesa Community College. I earned my second Master’s in Biomedical Sciences and my Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. In November of 2015, I went on a dental mission to Tonga with a group of faculty and students from Midwestern University where we provided thousands of dollars of free dental care for one week. I still have a passion for teaching and teach 1st year Dental students on Mondays at my alma mater Midwestern Unversity. The reason I invested in your practice is to provide continuity of care and be there for my patients over the long term. I believe in lifetime care and stand behind my work. I treat my patients like family. I believe in doing things right the first time using modern technology and proven advances in dentistry. I will be bringing Invisalign, Implants, Endodontics, and eventually laser dentistry into the practice.
