About Steven Bates
Dr. Bates is dedicated to getting to know all of his patients personally and begins each consultation with a couple of questions that help him learn who they are and what they value. "I don't just jump in and start doing a physical exam and talking about surgical incisions, complications and outcomes," he says. "You really want to try to get to know your patients as people first.He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and joined the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Department of Plastic Surgery in 2007 at the conclusion of his six-year residency in plastic surgery at Stanford University.
