About Stephen A. Samson, DMD
Dr. Samson completed his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. In addition, he is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry. He served as a Captain in the US Army Dental Corps. He has been practicing dentistry for 40 years, and has been at his present Miami location for 38 years. His office staff includes two dental hygienists, two certified dental assistants, and an office manager. Dr. Samson’s volunteer work began in 1968 at the Lindsey Hopkins adult education center dental clinic. The organization is called the Dade County Dental Research Clinic, which was founded in 1946. The purpose of the clinic is to treat indigent patients, train dental assistants and teach graduate dentist and residents as part of their continuing education. Dr. Samson has been the chairman of the Comprehensive Reconstruction Section since 1978. He volunteers his knowledge, expertise and services one day a month amassing over 400 days of volunteerism.
