About Stephanie Skopek, DDS
Dr. Stephanie Skopek graduated from McGill University in 1993 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario. She continued on to complete a one year general residency program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Her other post graduate training includes the completion of extensive courses at the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg Florida. She is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Last year she was proud to be involved in Illinois' first Mission of Mercy to provide basic dental care to hundreds of underserved patients in the Bloomington/Normal area. Dr. Skopek is a long standing member and past president of the Barrington Junior Women's Club through which she volunteers on a regular basis assisting women, children and families in need. She also dedicates her time to Sunny Hill Elementary School teaching literacy skills to kindergarten students. Being a native of Canada, she is an avid hockey fan but also enjoys skiing and most outdoor activities. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking and travelling with her husband Bob and daughters Jessica and Alexandra.
