About Sonya Flowers, MD
Dr. Flowers graduated cum laude from the University of Houston before earning her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She graduated with honors at the top of her class and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Flowers completed an internal medicine internship at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center before serving her dermatology residency at Howard University. Additionally, Dr. Flowers completed a laser and cosmetic fellowship listed with the American Academy of Dermatology at Advanced Dermatology P.C. in New York and completed research in conjunction with the New Age Skin Research Foundation. Dr. Flowers interests are General Dermatology, Surgical Dermatology, Laser Surgery, and Cosmetics. Dr. Flowers is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Flowers enjoys traveling and spending time with her two children and her husband, who is also a physician.
