About Sharon Elaine, Aesthetician Specialist
The most rewarding aspect of being a Licensed Esthetician is helping others obtain and restore confidence in their skin health and well-being. When I consult new clients, I genuinely listen hard and educate often. I bring to my Esthetics table years of my own personal skincare research that developed into a passion for reversing skin problems and prolonging the youth of my own skin… long before I ever became an esthetician. This is something I pass on to my clients with great fervor! I love the excitement in a client’s expression when she (or he) gets “on board” with a prescribed regimen, on the esthetics table and at home. It’s the excitement of earned trust place in me as your personal Esthetician. Trust that I HEAR you and that I am on your team. Trust that I am results-driven and I WILL walk with you in your journey to developing a sense of livelihood, self-esteem, and overall well-being. It’s the promise I make in cultivating a genuine relationship with you and helping you the best that I can both professionally AND personally. Esthetics is more than beauty and glamour. It’s about truly feeling good about yourself, to experience that level of confidence everyone deserves to experience, no matter how you arrive there. Although, I spent most of my first career (Licensed Insurance Agent) consulting high level brokers, agents, and top-notch business owners, keeping it ALL business, I still maintained that girlie-girl fashion and style personality I had ever since I was able to pick out my own clothes as a tween! During work hours, I’d wear sophisticated classy suits while on the weekends, I’d bring out the edgy glamorous style that made me feel fun and alive (think of designer jeans, chunky heeled patent leather boots, simple white top, black fur scarf with sparkly silver bling!). But how long does that last before your physical beauty is not keeping up with how sophisticated, classy, or glamorous you dress? Maybe you struggle with acne, or premature aging, or imflamed skin… you know what I’m talking about? Suddenly that pretty on the outside is not keeping up with the pretty you once felt on the inside. It happens slowly at first, then suddenly you’re staring 3 inches from the mirror thinking, “WTH”? And I think most everyone doesn’t really even do anything about it until, the days, months, and years pass and suddenly, you get scared! You spend hours of online research on how to reverse it all by reading about skincare remedies and anti-aging creams… How to Smooth Fine Lines & Wrinkles … How to Look 10 Years Younger… 40 is the new 30… and the title list goes on! I’ve been there! And we all know there are tons of over-the-counter skincare products that promise the fountain of youth… some VERY costly and some, well, quite frankly, just plain junk. How on earth does anyone know which cremes actually work and which ones are Multi Level Marketing (MLM) companies promising changes in your skin for high dollar prices while delivering low quality ingredients? Personally, I reached the point that I was no longer looking for what was cheap. I didn’t care if it cost me hundreds of dollars, I just wanted to know it would work, was safe, worthy of the cost, and get my hands on it fast! So, I began researching the top skincare products and their ingredients along with laboratory stats and science to back up their claims, BEFORE I purchased anything. I even looked into home mechanical devices that could benefit the skin and researched many non-invasive cosmetic procedures (I was a little ahead of myself, but hey, I was thinking LONG TERM *wink*). After a generous spreadsheet of the data I compiled (I will be sharing more about THAT in my blog soon!), I grew so knowledgeable about skincare that I HAD to share with my friends and anyone who didn’t know where to start on their journey to looking younger. Let’s say… I was becoming skincare passionate … much like anyone doing something new to improve oneself, then actually seeing and feeling the results (i.e. those joining weight loss clinics, exercise gyms, yoga studios, etc.). During this journey of research and charting (four years) and some very awesome product use, I decided to enroll in my city’s Academy of Esthetics, graduated with a few internships under my wings and became a State Board Certified Licensed Esthetician. Now I use the best in science and beauty and share it by consulting and providing hands-on treatments to others, while they seek to improve their livelihood through Esthetics.
