About Sara D. Vafa, DMD
Dr. Vafa's ultimate goal is to help every patient that comes through her doors feel at ease and comfortable, while providing them with the highest level of dental care. She treats every patient as if they were her own family and will listen to your needs and thoroughly explain the details of your care so you can understand what is happening with your mouth. She is extremely invested in taking care of the health and aesthetics of her patient's smiles to enhance their quality of life. Dr. Vafa completed her undergraduate training at Tehran University, Iran. In college, she majored in Microbiology and received a Bachelor of Science with the highest honor. After moving to the United States, she was accepted into dental school and attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She then went on to complete an additional residency training program at the UCLA Medical Center in the section of Hospital Dentistry. There she completed advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry and was trained in treating special needs and medically compromised patients. Dr. Vafa is passionate about continuing education because it allows her to improve her skills and offer her patients the most up-to-date techniques and technology. As well as being highly involved in continuing education, Dr. Vafa has dedicated her time to serving on dental mission trips. She has gone to Haiti and Peru where she spent several weeks doing humanitarian dentistry. Dr. Vafa is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. In her spare time, Dr. Vafa loves to read, cook, travel and spend time with family and friends.
