About Sara Atef-Vahid, DDS
Upon completion of her undergraduate and graduate studies abroad and in the United States, Dr. Sara Atef-Vahid obtained her Doctorate Degree in Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry in her native town of Washington, D.C. She completed her advanced training post-graduate residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at The University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland where she received extensive training in the areas of restorative and cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, endodontics, and implant dentistry. Providing comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical care as well as raising awareness about overall health is the foundation of her philosophy as a clinician. She is a strong believer in treating her patients with high quality patient-centered care in a broad range of dental disciplines. Dr. Sara Atef-Vahid is dedicated to providing personalized and thorough care to her patients in a relaxing and friendly environment. Her warm, genuine and caring personality make her patients look forward to every dental appointment. “The most beautiful part of my job is providing that sense of confidence in my patients. My work isn’t done until I’ve seen a genuine smile of satisfaction.” In her spare time, Dr. Atef-Vahid enjoys cooking and baking, playing the piano, and traveling with her teenage daughter. She also loves collecting coins and stamps and discovering and learning about the cultures of the countries she visits. Dr. Atef-Vahid has volunteered in numerous charities, including Mission of Mercy, Medical Mission at Home, and Mission Pakistan, treating underserved populations in the US and overseas. She is fluent in the English and Farsi languages and is a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, DC Dental Society, Maryland State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry (Maryland and DC) and Howard County Dental Association.
