About Sandeep S. Saluja, MD
Dr. Sandeep Singh Saluja is a board-certified dermatologist who completed the prestigious Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Advanced Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and Wellman Center for Photo-medicine – the world’s leading research center, where the majority of today’s laser and cosmetic technologies are invented and tested. Dr. Saluja is thrilled to move back to CT and join the Connecticut Skin Institute making it the only practice in Connecticut or Westchester County that has two Fellowship-trained Cosmetic and Laser Surgeons. At Connecticut Skin Institute, Dr. Saluja will focus his practice on both medical and laser/cosmetic dermatology, while placing a strong emphasis on patient education. He has extensive experience managing the total skin health of his patients and has performed hundreds of aesthetic procedures including injectables, such as Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Kybella, PRP (platelet rich plasma) for hair loss, Sclerotherapy, and laser procedures for red blood vessels, brown spots, wrinkles, facial rejuvenation, acne/surgical scars, hair removal, skin tightening (Ultherapy), cellulite treatment (Cellfina) and non-invasive fat reduction (Coolsculpting). Dr. Saluja has been routinely invited to speak at national professional meetings and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on laser, cosmetic and general dermatology. He was also selected to serve on the Board of American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS). He was the recipient of a highly competitive research grant from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) to evaluate laser and energy based devices for acne scars in ethnic skin. Dr. Saluja believes in looking and feeling your best at any age, and helps his patients achieve this through combining state of the art technology with the most up to date medical evidence and an advanced skill set. This requires detailed examinations for skin cancer monitoring and management of common dermatology conditions. Furthermore, as an “anti-aging” specialist, he advocates maintaining healthy and rejuvenated skin through a holistic approach of cosmetic procedures and skin care products along with a well-rounded lifestyle. Dr. Saluja earned his bachelor’s degree from Yale University in New Haven, CT, where he graduated with a Distinction in Biomedical Engineering. He then received his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY and was honored with the Clinical and Translational Research Award for Excellence for his dermatology research in melanoma treatment. Prior to commencing his fellowship training at Harvard, he completed his Dermatology residency at University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Saluja looks forward to calling CT home again, and enjoys spending time with his wife and his young son.
