About Samuel L. Chachkin, MD
Samuel Chachkin, MD, FAAD, is a board certified dermatologist who has been with Pennsylvania Dermatology Group since 2009. Dr. Chachkin is a Washington D.C. native who completed his undergraduate study at the University of Michigan and received his M.D. degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in 2002. He graduated medical school as class valedictorian, winner of the Benjamin Manchester Humanitarian Award in medicine and was honored with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Following an internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he completed a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, immediately after which he obtained his board certification from the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Chachkin has co-authored articles published in the Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology, has presented lectures at multiple national meetings, and has authored textbook chapters in both pediatric and dermatology texts. He has a special interest in the early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and practices general, pediatric and surgical dermatology. He currently lives in Jenkintown with his wife and three children.
