About Ronald L. Proctor, DDS
Dr. Ronald L. Proctor was raised in Harrisburg, PA, where he was in the scientific enriched program in high school. He was very active in music, playing trombone, piano, and was an organist for a few churches. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1966 and his education continued. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma in 1970 and D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry Dallas, TX in January 1974. Following his education, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War until the end of his dental internship in 1976. He spent six months aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger in the Western Pacific and South China Sea. When he moved back to Dallas, he worked for the Dallas City Dental Health Program and the Dallas County Dental Society emergency service. In 1977, Dr. Proctor worked in and later purchased a dental practice in North Dallas. He attended and completed the curriculum at the LD Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. Later in 1984, he opened his second practice, this time located in Carrollton, TX. He married his long time sweetheart in 1985 and eventually sold his first practice. Dr. Proctor continues to serve patients from his Carrollton practice with general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Every year, Dr. Proctor attends many hours of continuing education in order to stay up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques, and treatments in dentistry. His dedication drives his success and results in long-term satisfaction for both patient and doctor.
