About Rodney S. Gleave, DMD
Dr. Rod Gleave grew up spending time in both California and Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986. He then entered the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and earned his DMD in 1990. He held a general practice residency in Loma Linda, CA, before setting up his present private practice in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Gleave believes that in order to provide the best care he can for his patients, continuing education is crucial. That’s why he continues to study and explore the field of dentistry. He has attended thousands of hours of continuing education courses. Most recently, his studies have covered dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, snoring and sleep apnea treatments, laser dentistry, sedation dentistry, and TMD pain and bite problems. He was awarded a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and also is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute. Carl Misch, the institute founder, is recognized as the top educator for dental implants in the country. Dr. Gleave is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and is the only dentist in Salt Lake to hold an LVI fellowship. He is also certified to use Hybridge solutions, which are designed to minimize the cost and complexity of implant procedures. Dr. Gleave is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). Throughout the year, he volunteers his time and dental expertise to the ADA’s Give Kids A Smile program, which provides dental services for children who do not have access to quality dental care. He also volunteers for the AACD’s Give Back a Smile program, which helps restore smiles for battered women. Dr. Gleave spends his free time coaching youth baseball and basketball. He enjoys many sports and loves to be outdoors. The father of six children, he recently had the pleasure of becoming a grandfather.
