About Roberto Macedo, DDS
Dr. Roberto Macedo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Paulista University School of Dentistry in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2001. He then completed his Master of Science degree, focusing on operative dentistry at the University of São Paulo School of Dentistry. Following this, he participated in a combined program between the University of São Paolo and the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) School of Dentistry focused in restorative dentistry/dental materials. In 2009, Dr. Macedo began his residency in prosthodontics at the UAB Dental School and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He began practicing dentistry at his private practice in 2001, which he continued until beginning his prosthodontic residency. From 2012 to 2015, Dr. Macedo was a full-time professor at OHSU, after which he returned to private practice. He has lectured extensively on contemporary dentistry and advanced restorative cases since 2002, with emphases on aesthetics, function and implants. Dentistry is Dr. Macedo’s passion, and he loves being able to change people’s lives by redesigning their smiles. Dr. Macedo has received advanced training in numerous areas of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, smile design, smile makeovers, full mouth rehabilitation and oral surgery. Dr. Macedo has been involved in numerous complete oral rehabilitations throughout his career. One of the many strengths he has developed in his residency training and throughout his career is the ability to identify a patient’s needs, develop a treatment plan and accurately produce the results that were planned to solve their problem. The challenge of complete oral reconstruction is always exciting and rewarding to our dentist.
