About Robert J. Spennato, DMD
A native of Springfield, Pennsylvania, Dr. Spennato graduated from Springfield High School in 1981, after which he earned his B.S. in biology from Ursinus College. After receiving his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1989, Dr. Spennato completed his post-graduate training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Spennato is a recognized and respected authority in the field of cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry. He completed special training at the renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI) of Advanced Dental Studies. His level of cosmetic training at LVI puts him in the top 1% of cosmetic dentists in the country. He is additionally one of only a handful of dentists in the region who is certified to perform dentistry with both oral conscious sedation and intravenous (IV) sedation. Dr. Spennato received specialized training and certification for sedation dentistry from the highly regarded Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation (DOCS). He has performed hundreds of smile makeovers for public figures including Chris Stigall, CBS Philly Talk Radio Host; Philadelphia’s own Pat Croce, author and former owner of the 76ers; Brian Propp, Flyers legend; and Anthony Gargano, Philadelphia sports radio celebrity. Dr. Spennato has trained other area dentists on the latest techniques in cosmetic dentistry. As an extension of his focus on cosmetic dentistry and the aesthetics of the face, Dr. Spennato is one of a progressive group of dentists who are now offering rejuvenating cosmetic treatments to their patients. Considered by his patients to be “a master with a needle,” Dr. Spennato has been specially trained to offer Botox® and Juvéderm® dermal filler. Dr. Spennato is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the Chester/Delaware County Dental Society. He has been recognized as a Top Cosmetic Dentist for the last six consecutive years by Main Line Today magazine (2014 - 2019), by Philadelphia Magazine (2014, 2019), by the National Consumer Advisory Board (America’s Best Dentists, 2015), and Suburban Life magazine (most recently in 2016).
