About Richard Poller, DMD

As the dental director, he oversees the three General Dentist, Oral Surgeon, Periodontist and the Orthodontist at the Union and Clifton office. Dr. Richard Poller received his Dental Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey dental school; where he also completed his General Dentistry Residency. Dr. Poller had the love of dentistry early on; he saw and appreciated that he could make a difference in someone's life just by giving them a healthy and aesthetically beautiful smile. He saw firsthand how important a healthy smile was to an individual’s self-esteem and well-being. Dr. Poller’s utilizes his education and years of expertise and creative artistic skills to bring your healthy smile to life. The goal of his offices is to create an environment for the apprehensive patient (most people), that will enable them to receive dental treatment in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. This is done through the use or combination of anti-anxiety medications, nitrous oxide (sweet air) or intravenous sedation. Patients are encouraged to provide feedback as to their level of comfort, so that we are able to make the appropriate dosage modifications during the course of treatment. Our ultimate goal is a patient that no longer avoids needed or preventive dental treatment due to anxiety from prior dental experiences.
