About Rachel Schmidtberger, MD
Rachel M. Schmidtberger, MD grew up in a Garland, TX a suburb northeast of Dallas. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with highest honors with a degree in human development and family science. She moved to Houston in 2010 where she completed her medical training at the University of Texas Health science center at Houston. Dr. Schmidtberger completed her internship at John Peter Smith hospital and her Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health science center and MD Anderson cancer center, where she served as chief resident during her final year. She is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Schmidtberger’s dermatologic interests include general and pediatric dermatology and the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, acne, and detection and treatment of skin cancers among others. She also has interest in basic procedural and cosmetic dermatology. She is currently seeing patients in our Katy and Cypress Offices. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic surgery, the Texas Dermatological Society, and the Houston Dermatological Society. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Houston and spending time with her boyfriend and two Boston terriers.
