About Poria Rafiei, DDS

Dr. Poria Rafiei is a native Houstonian who is driven by his strong passion and commitment to serve others in his community. After completing his undergraduate studies and graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, where he graduated amongst the top of his class. He received several distinguished awards in areas such as Implantology, Periodontology, and Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Rafiei enjoys treating patients of all ages and he is certified in administering nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation to help patients with high dental anxiety have a more comfortable experience. “I enjoy providing dental care for the whole family—children and adults. I focus on spending time with my patients and taking things at their pace so everyone is comfortable. Every person is treated with respect and I take great pride in creating a relationship with every patient”, says Dr. Rafiei. Dr. Rafiei is a certified instructor in the Basic Life Support System and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Poria Rafiei is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society. He is married to a middle school teacher and has three wonderful children. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball and football, and spending quality time with his family.
