About Phillip T. Hsu, MD
I am a dermatologist at the Fontana Medical Center and am board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. I am a general dermatologist, which means I specialize in all aspects of skin care, including diagnosing and treating skin diseases and helping patients keep their skin healthy. I am ethnically Chinese, but I was born in Germany. I immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old and am an American citizen. I grew up in Southern California, where my family and I essentially lived the American Dream. After high school, I ventured to Northern California, where I attended Stanford University and studied economics and human biology. After graduating college, I spent two years teaching and conducting research on HIV and health policy at Stanford before I realized my passion for helping others and my interest in medicine. Another five years of medical school at Stanford followed. I finally ventured out of California for my internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After surviving several cold winters in otherwise beautiful Wisconsin, my wife and I decided to move back to California to be closer to family and friends.
