About Peter J. Pagano, DDS
Dr. Peter J Pagano’s natural passion for dentistry has been the driving force behind his continuous study of the advancements in dentistry. After graduating from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry he practiced with his father, Dr. Sam Pagano, for fifteen years. They treated patients in their Creve Coeur office and performed oral surgery together at Faith Hospital in Creve Coeur, which is now the site of BJC Healthcare. Dr. Pagano has earned multiple certifications in all areas of dentistry, including a Diplomate in Oral Implantology, the highest recognized level of certification in this newly emerging specialty. As an Art Minor in college Dr Pagano still takes art training, draws and paints. He integrates his technical dental skills with his art training, believing that dental work should result in balance, function, and an attractive outcome for the patient. And while creating aesthetic smiles is a passion, he yet maintains that the primary role of dentistry is enabling a painless and smooth chewing pattern for patients. Proper chewing function is possible when balance between the teeth and the jaw joints is honored in treatment. These are the principles of Orthopedic Dentistry, which has been Dr. Pagano’s approach to treatment since the early 1980s. Dr. Pagano served as President of the Dento-Facial Orthopedic Study Club of Missouri in the 1980s and was a founding member of the Functional Jaw Orthopedics Study Club. Thanks to the many experts around the country with whom he studied, he has helped thousands of patients eliminate TMJ symptoms. Artistic Dentistry provides families with the convenience of all dental services under one roof. This includes general dentistry, orthodontics, custom “designer dentures,” oral surgery (including wisdom tooth extractions), TMJ treatment and complex cases involving extensive rehabilitation. In 1999 Dr. Pagano began offering dental implants and earned a Fellow and Diplomate in Oral Implantology, offering patients all implant-related procedures. Our state-of-the-art facilities includes on-site CT Scan technology which enables more precise implant placement.
