About Paul R. Diegidio, MD
Paul Diegidio MD “Dr. D” trained in general surgery at the University of South Carolina in Columbia SC, followed by a plastic surgery/burn reconstruction research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During this research year he was accepted into the categorical plastic surgery residency at UNC, where he completed 4 additional years of residency dedicated to plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. He served as a chief resident during his final year at UNC. He enjoys both reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, as well as non-surgical interventions with injectables and skin-care. He also enjoys participating in medical mission trips to bring burn, craniofacial and reconstructive expertise to patients in underserved areas, both at home and abroad. Dr. Diegidio considers it a privilege to take care of his patients, and enjoys developing, and tailoring treatment plans based on individual needs. Moreover he tries to replace the traditional doctor-patient relationship of clipboards, intake forms, and waiting rooms with personalized care, and conversations. He uses the latest technology in the office to facilitate a patient centered experience.
