About Paradi Mirmirani, MD
During medical school I had very little exposure to Dermatology, and it wasn't until much later - in the midst of my Internal Medicine residency - that I discovered the greatest field in medicine - Dermatology! During training in Dermatology I developed a special interest in HIV skin disorders and hair disorders. After graduating from residency, I joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, as assistant professor, and I was also Chief of Dermatology at the Veterans Administration Hospital. After three years in Cleveland I moved back "home" to Northern California and joined the wonderful Dermatology Department at Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo. I am married to another physician who also works at Kaiser Permanente. We enjoy commuting together to work and alternate working on Fridays so that we can spend quality time with our three children. What I enjoy about Dermatology: Dermatology is a visual specialty and requires pattern recognition, which is something that has always appealed to me. I treat patients of all ages who may have a wide range of problems.
