About Oscar E. Masters, MD
Dr. Masters attended the University of Oklahoma graduating with honors focusing in Biomedical Sciences. He furthered his education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. It was there he discovered his passion for Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and contributed to Plastic surgery research. Dr. Masters has published numerous articles in his field, presented his research at national and international conferences winning awards such as best overall paper and the Alpha Omega Alpha award. Dr. Masters’ commitment to research and his academic accolades earned him a highly sought-after position in the competitive Integrated Plastic Surgery residency program at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He honed his skills through training at programs such as M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Shriners Hospital for Children, and the Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he helped develop state of the art techniques in postoperative pain management for tummy tuck procedures. This paper won him best Aesthetic paper at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons resident competition and outlines a technique used widely now by plastic surgeons worldwide. Dr. Masters has now been in practice in Oklahoma City for four years where he has mastered his surgical technique and keen eye for details. Dr. Masters is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons – the only board recognized nationally for certifying Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeons. Since Dr. Masters is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons you are assured, he has met the highest standards of education, professionalism and ethics. In his own time, Dr. Masters enjoys, running, swimming, cycling, Ironman triathlons, Sooner football, Thunder Basketball and spending time with family, friends and his labradoodle Maggie.
