About Oren P. Mushin, MD

Dr. Oren Paul Mushin is a Houston-raised, true Texan. Having trained in New York, he brings with him skills and expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery . At every phase of his journey, Dr. Mushin has excelled, and we are proud to have him at Memorial Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Mushin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin, TX. There, he majored in the Plan II Honors and Business Honors Programs, and minored in Biology. Graduating with Highest Honors at UT, he then began his studies at Duke University School of Medicine, one of the most respected medical schools in the country. He excelled while a graduate student at Duke, and was accepted to a highly prestigious plastic surgery residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Upstate New York. While a resident, Dr. Mushin won numerous awards for clinical and academic excellence. He has coauthored 50 abstracts and publications in fields including plastic surgery and burn surgery , and has presented nationally and internationally. Dr. Mushin is an avid traveler and has recently participated in a trip to India as part of a special delegation meant to advance cleft lip and Dr. Oren Paul Mushin is a Houston-raised, true Texan.
