About Nina Hansra, MD
Born and raised in Northern California, I enjoy providing medical care to my patients in the Bay Area. I double majored in biology and religion at University of Southern California and then came to UC San Francisco, where I completed medical school. I completed my internal medicine internship at Stanford University followed by dermatology residency at UC San Francisco. After a few years at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento and in a Bay Area private practice, I am excited to be part of the wonderful team of dermatologists at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City. Based on my education and training, I practice a wide variety of dermatology including general and medical dermatology in addition to performing surgeries. I enjoy taking care of patients of all ages, ranging from children to the geriatric population. My professional interests also include medical education and training primary care physicians about dermatology. I feel fortunate to practice at Kaiser Permanente due to its multi-disciplinary approach to taking care of patients in an integrated healthcare system. I am dedicated to providing high-quality dermatologic care to my patients. I enjoy combining my interests in science and medical ethics to practice with the art of medicine. This entails 1) using my clinical skills and experiences to formulate appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans, and 2) getting to know my patients’ personal values and beliefs to involve them in the decision-making process.
