About Natalia Silva, DDS
Hi all, it’s Dr. Silva! I started here at Old Greenwich Dental Center in July of 2015. I was recommended to this dental office by the director of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where I studied. Last August, about a month into my new job, I went on maternity leave, then I came back in January. My job is general dentistry. I like to focus on cosmetic dentistry, though, and I like to correct any dental issues while making sure patients feel comfortable and ready to receive great dental treatment. My history with dentistry began when I was very young. I started my first job as a dental assistant at age 16, and it really was like love at first sight. Throughout my high school and college years, I continued to pursue dentistry as a dental assistant. After hours or on school breaks, I would learn from various great dentists about how beautiful general dentistry can be. Dentistry is an art — a profession that can be truly satisfying — when patients are comfortable, happy with the treatment, and given a great smile. From the beginning, I wanted to be like the dentists, not just an assistant. I wanted to grow in the field, so I pursued general dentistry. I’m so glad to have reached this point and ended up at Old Greenwich Dental Center. I’ve worked at various dental offices throughout my assisting career, and I can tell you, after living in D.C., it’s just fantastic here. Dr. Busch has created a happy, comfortable environment for the employees and the doctors — and when we’re happy, we make the patients happy too!
