About Michael P. Lorek, MD
I joined the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group because I believe that practicing medicine in an integrated medical group of closely knit primary care and specialty care physicians provides the best possible patient care. I find that being surrounded by highly qualified colleagues, who are always available for immediate consultation, either in person or though the electronic medical record, guarantees that I will be able to provide the best possible care for my patients. In addition, having a state-of-the-art electronic medical record means that all of my patients’ records, medications, and lab tests are completely and immediately accessible during each office visit. This prevents the fragmentation of care that happens all too often in the medical community. Patients may also contact me via secure messaging with any questions or additional information they may wish to discuss. In some instances, therapy can be changed without the need for an office visit. This is truly integrated health care for the twenty first century. Kaiser Permanente has always been the leader in developing and providing health care solutions. I am privileged to be a member of the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group and to be a part of the team.
