About Michael J. Bixby, DMD
Dr. Michael Bixby graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and earned his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Bringing his passion for technology and quality dentistry, he joined his father in practice in 1998. Never complacent in his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Bixby sought post-doctorate training in advanced dentistry. To date he has attended the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the world-renowned educational center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry. He has also completed courses at the Creating Restorative Excellence Center for Advanced Dental Learning and is certified in laser dentistry. Through his vast educational experience, Dr. Bixby has realized that cosmetic dentistry is more than designing an attractive smile; it’s comprehensive dentistry. The advanced cosmetic dentistry he practices takes into consideration the teeth, bones, gums and bite in relation to the rest of the body. This approach allows Dr. Bixby to resolve patients’ dental needs in an attractive and enduring manner. Dr. Bixby is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Bixby is one of a few certified dentists, “World-wide”, for the PX3 Custom Mouthwear. When not in the office, Dr. Bixby enjoys golf, skiing, cycling and just being outdoors. He and his wife, Sue, have two children, Matthew and Erin.
