About Melody Zamora, DMD
Since her earliest memories, the profession of dentistry has meant service for Dr. Zamora. Becoming a dentist is all she has wanted to do, and she loves being a dentist. Making a positive difference in peoples’ lives is unbelievably rewarding for Dr. Zamora, because she knows that smiles build confidence and change lives. It is a privilege for her to serve people and she strives to provide personalized, quality, and compassionate care to each and every patient while creating beautiful, healthy smiles for life. She is committed to providing her patients quality, timely dental care in a caring, relaxed environment using the best that technology and health care is available. Dr. Zamora is a continual student, committed to lifelong learning. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas State University, San Marcos, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her dental education in 2003 at Oregon Health & Science University, in Portland, OR, and graduated with a D.M.D. degree. In recognition of her academic record, clinical excellence, and case presentations while in dental school, Dr. Zamora was selected for an annual endodontic award. She also has additional training in both pediatric dentistry and pathology (including early detection of oral cancer). Dr. Zamora is dedicated to staying up-to-date on the scientific research and developments in all areas of her field to provide her patients with the best possible care. Dr. Zamora prides herself in the quality of care she provides, which begins with having a great team. She says that she is blessed to have an amazing team that shares her passion for patient care. From the front office to the clinic, everyone is trained and committed to help in giving patients the best possible experience. The entire staff all works hard to give patients the attention they deserve. Dr. Zamora has been married since 1998, to David Zamora, Ph.D., an Ocular Trauma research scientist at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research at Ft. Sam Houston. Together, they have three children, Sophia, Mia, and Zaman. Dr. Zamora is passionate with supporting programs that bring education to children in local, national and international communities with barriers to education.
