About Melissa A. Radecki, MD

I truly enjoy meeting our members and learning about their lives. It is my great privilege to help you through your health care decisions and journey. I very much emphasize patient education and believe in providing ample and up-to-date information so that you, the member, can make the choice that is best for you. I am an Oregon native who finally decided to leave behind the rain clouds for palm trees in California. I went east for school and graduated from Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. Having had enough of snow, I went on to train in plastic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University back home in Portland. I then completed a hand and microsurgery fellowship at the University of Arizona in sunny Phoenix. I was also fortunate to be able to complete a fellowship in Milan, Italy, to further enhance my skills. I come from a family of physicians, and like a good little sister, I followed in my brother’s footsteps and joined Kaiser Permanente. I am a plastic surgeon with specialization in hand surgery. I spend my days seeing members and doing small operations in our minor procedure suite or in the operating rooms at both the Fontana Medical Center and the Ontario Medical Center. My passion is helping to restore function to the hands of members with congenital hand differences, hand trauma, and common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis. I wholeheartedly love being a plastic surgeon and relish practicing the breadth of plastic surgery. I have special interest in aesthetic breast surgery and breast reconstruction. I maintain a balance between caring for members and spending time with family and friends. I spend my free time going to spin or barre classes or walking on the beach. I also love cooking (from scratch!), which helps me keep to a healthy diet. Most importantly, I believe in promoting positivity and self-care.
