About Melissa Nixon, DMD
Dr. Nixon is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry. She has been practicing in The Villages, FL and has recently moved to Jacksonville. She has a great deal of experience in dentistry and is a perfect successor to Dr Gaff. Growing up around dentistry, Dr. Nixon got her start in patient care at a young age, seating and comforting patients in her father's dental practice in Pennsylvania. She quickly gained affection for connecting with patients, as well as an avid love of science. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Dickinson College, where she met her husband Jared, who was a Marine Corps officer at that time. Dr. Nixon still finds time to run half marathons, swim, cook, and spend time with her husband and dog.
