About Melissa M. Gustafson, DDS
Dr. Gustafson is a native Charlottean who graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina State University and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During a rotation at Carolinas Medical Center, she was able to broaden her experience treating medically compromised and elderly patients. Dr. Gustafson strives for excellence in patient care by attending numerous continuing education courses each year in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is also active in two study clubs, allowing her to keep current with the dynamic advances in the dental industry. Her primary ambition is to provide exceptional dental treatment for her patients in a caring, gentle atmosphere. She specializes in many aspects of general dentistry and is especially devoted to family and cosmetic dentistry. She wishes for all of her patients to have a personalized visit and for them to feel that they are truly in a safe environment, where they will receive optimal dental care. Dr. Gustafson appreciates the unique opportunity to work in her hometown where family, siblings and childhood friends live. She and her husband enjoy many outdoor activities, including scuba diving, tennis, skiing, traveling and spending quality time with their two children and their golden retriever.
