About Melissa Daza, DDS
Melissa Daza, DDS, is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist on the team at Bucktown Wicker Park Dental in Chicago. She is a Chicago native who’s passionate about creating beautiful smiles and caring for patients of all ages. Dr. Daza earned her dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and completed a general practice residency at the University of California, San Francisco. She’s since completed a number of postgraduate courses at Pride Institute in Novato, California, and studied under the direction of renowned clinicians like Frank Spear, DDS, MSD, and Peter Dawson, DDS. She’s an Invisalign®-certified dentist and a CEREC®-trained clinician who routinely improves and updates her skillset with continuing education courses. Dr. Daza is a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In her practice, Dr. Daza is most passionate about cultivating relationships and connections with her patients. She enjoys being part of her patients’ lives and expanding her worldview by hearing their stories and experiences. Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Daza is incredibly active in the community. She’s served on the board of the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce and has been on the clinical faculty in the oral medicine department at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago. She currently mentors young girls through the Chinese Mutual Aid Association. In her spare time, Dr. Daza enjoys sharing her life with her husband, Dennis, and daughter, Nina. Dr. Daza enjoys running marathons, playing tennis, snow skiing, traveling, reading, and practicing yoga. She’s passionate about the environment and climate change issues, and supports the National Wildlife Federation.
