About Melissa P. Chiang, MD
Dr. Melissa Chiang has been practicing adult and pediatric dermatology since 2004. She graduated from Yale Medical School, and she is board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Chiang enjoys helping patients maintain and enhance the health of their skin. She excels at diagnosing and treating a variety of skin conditions, including acne, eczema (rashes), psoriasis, moles, warts, & skin cancer. Dr. Chiang sees patients of all ages, from young children to seniors. She trained in dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, a department renowned for its excellence in pediatric dermatology as well as for the breadth in adult dermatology. She was given the honor of Chief Resident during her final year of training. As a result of her extensive training, Dr. Chiang is very comfortable working with and treating patients of all ages. Dr. Chiang’s most recent book chapter appeared in the textbook Rigel’s Cancer of the Skin, 2nd edition. Dermatopathology is a subspecialty of Dermatology that involves the diagnosis of skin disease at a microscopic level. Dr. Chiang has completed a fellowship in dermatopathology. Her dual certification is very useful for diagnosing difficult skin conditions, determining when a biopsy may be helpful, and correlating her clinical findings with microscopic findings.
